About Watch-Cufflinks.com
Watch-Cufflinks.com features entirely hand made jewelry by artist and designer Ricky Wolbrom, who has a long history in the jewelry
business that began in Manhattan's diamond district. Ricky spends countless hours seeking out the finest quality mechanical jeweled watch movements and watch parts to make each piece a stunning one-of-a-kind creation.
Many pieces are on display in galleries and boutiques.
The artist's vision and creativity make the pieces here on Watch-Cufflinks.com the only of their kind.
The jewelry making process is a time consuming and highly detailed endeavor. No piece is finished until it has the desired look, which may take several iterations until that desired outcome is achieved. Ricky works hard to ensure the visual integrity of the vintage pieces
being used. In many cases, such as our vast selection of
Designer
Name Cufflinks,
our products are professionally soldered with the sterling silver
solder for pieces that are of the highest quality. In many
situations solder is not appropriate for bonding either due to the
fact that solder is not appropriate for the particular materials
being bonded, or due to the potential that the high heat required
for a successful solder bond may discolor metals and degrade the physical properties of
many of these sensitive and often antique components. In those
cases an industrial bonding agent is used which is clear, incredibly durable, impact tolerant and will not adversely affect these
components being utilized. Although at times this may be visible in discrete portions of a particular piece, it is clear and presents a
very low or often invisible visual profile, resulting in a finished product that is both hand made and visually stunning.
Because each vintage watch part or movement is unique unto itself, all of the art pieces on this site are truly
one-of-a-kind and come with a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist.
